Use LaSalle’s building guidance
LaSalle has its own Building Division and demolition-permit process. The Town’s January 2026 guidance asks owners and contractors to confirm permit needs with that division and review the supporting-document checklist. A Windsor application package should not be assumed to satisfy a LaSalle submission.
Describe the actual change when you contact the Town. Removing a finish, altering a structural element and demolishing a whole structure raise different questions. Avoid relying on a building’s size alone without explaining its use, services and connection to other construction.
Show how the work will be reached
A useful enquiry explains the route from the vehicle position to the removal area. Mention gates, side passages, stairs, overhead obstructions and surfaces you want protected. If the proposed setup touches a road allowance or other public land, identify that early so the correct permission can be checked.
Keep property records and a simple removal sketch together. Label features to remain, including landscape features and neighbouring fences. Photos can help explain visible conditions once a suitable sharing method is agreed, but they cannot establish structural capacity or identify hazardous materials.
Set a clear assessment request
Tell us whether the work concerns a room strip-out, selected finishes, a commercial unit or a detached structure. Explain the next renovation or use, because the desired handoff matters as much as the removal itself. Identify any professional assessment already completed and any uncertainty you want resolved.
Contact YAK to confirm availability for your LaSalle project. You can get in touch before every detail is settled, even if you are not sure which service you need.
