Keep the Town application separate from the quote
Tecumseh’s Building Services Division uses Cloudpermit for building applications. Its public page also supports application-status checks, inspection bookings and inspection results. The Town lists construction and demolition among work requiring permit review. Ask Building Services how your exact scope should be classified.
A contractor enquiry is not a permit application. If you have started a Cloudpermit file, record whether it is still a draft, submitted, awaiting information or issued. Share that status with the people preparing the demolition scope so an unresolved approval is not mistaken for a completed step.
Describe retained services and occupancy
For a partial interior strip-out, explain which rooms stay in use and which services must remain available. If the site is a commercial unit, name the person authorised to approve changes and identify building-management requirements. A tenant’s preferred layout does not by itself establish permission to alter the premises.
For exterior or detached work, identify the access point, any building connection and what happens to the footprint afterwards. Ground disturbance, service isolation and restoration are separate items to discuss; they should not disappear inside a vague request to clear the site.
Make the next conversation useful
A few clear sentences are enough to begin: what is coming out, what stays, the property type and the main unknown. Existing drawings or reports can be mentioned without uploading personal records to a public page. The enquiry form permits an uncertain service choice.
YAK is open 24/7. Call our Windsor number to discuss your Tecumseh property and confirm availability for the work you have in mind.
