Name the tasks and areas
Distinguish removal of demolition debris from cleaning retained rooms, fixtures or personal contents. Ask which areas are included and what condition will be left. Identify work routes and shared surfaces separately from the removal area if their treatment matters.
Do not assume that removal of a floor finish includes preparation for a new product, or that visible cleanup proves an area is suitable for occupancy. Those questions may require a different scope or assessment. Keep the agreed cleaning description tied to the work actually proposed.
Coordinate with the next use
Explain what is expected to happen after demolition: another construction stage, an assessment or a return to ordinary use. Ask the relevant next party what it needs before accepting the area. A finishing-stage cleaning task may not belong at the end of an early demolition phase.
If specialist material work is involved, follow the applicable professional process rather than using ordinary housekeeping language to describe clearance. Do not treat a neat photograph as proof that all hazards have been addressed.
Review the stated condition
Use the agreed description during the completion walk-through and list any specific remaining items. Separate an omitted task from a newly requested service. Tell YAK the intended next use of the space so the handoff and cleaning boundary can be discussed during assessment.
